Hiding an IP for security reasons is clueless. You are welcome to reveal it, there is no risk.

Say your domain is example.com and you want to set the reverse of your server 11.22.33.44 to myserver.example.com

1) ensure that myserver.example.com resolves correctly as 11.22.33.44
2) only after that you set the reverse (PTR) of 11.22.33.44 so that it resolves to myserver.example.com

Also can you specify what kind of server it is ? VPS Cloud, VPS Classic, Cloud KS-x, RunAbove, OVH dédié, Kimsufi ?

1.0.168.192.in-addr.arpa is definitely NOT the IP address of any dedicated server hosted in OVH.

Please be more explicit and prove that you are not a spammer.

for security reason i do not share my correct IP! i have ordered my server from French location, because of that i post here!? now what should i do for fixing my problem??

Hi guys,
i want to change my reverse dns in my ovh panel , the following error occurred when click on change:
An error occurred on updating the reverse (Cannot check if 1.0.168.192.in-addr.arpa. resolves to 192.168.0.1)

its more than 48 hours that i am waiting but still cant change it!! please help me to solve this problem because my emails spammed.
