Hi.

You don't need to remove the " 3.10.23" one.
Just put a "2.6.X" in place, tell you lilo (probably) that you want to boot that one, and restart.
If no go, enter rescue mode and put things straight again.
Hi ok thanks, there is a guide on how to downgrade debian's kernel on an ovh dedicated server ?

Also, why did ovh modify debian squeeze, upgrading the kernel ?
Perhaps 2.6 kernel will not be compatible with the hardware ?
This is a: "Enterprise Server SP-64 - 64G E5-1620v2 SoftRAID 2 x 2 TB" dedicated server.

Hi I've installed Debian 6 Squeeze on my dedicated server
but uname -a reports:
Linux stock.ovh.net 3.10.23-xxxx-std-ipv6-64 #1 SMP Tue Mar 18 14:48:24 CET 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linux

it is possible to downgrade the kernel to latest 2.6.X ?
